HOW DO I APPLY FOR REPRESENTATION?
Castrey Talent Agency are very pleased to represent the most exiting, previously undiscovered talent.
We do not oversubscribe our numbers so we are able to remain fully committed to each of our clients and as a result of this, there are minimal spaces remaining on our books. However, we are always willing to consider new talent - please read instructions below.
NB: We do not guarantee an audition for every applicant as places on our books are competitive.
If you would like to apply to be represented by Castrey Talent Agency, please send a headshot, CV and covering letter to: email@example.com
If our agents believe we are able to offer you representation, you will be invited to attend an audition where you will be asked to take part in a drama exercise as well as sing a musical theatre song if you wish (you will need to supply your own backing track) We will in touch after your audition if we are able to represent you.
There is no charge to be represented by Castrey Talent Agency and we only take our commission when payment has been received for your work.
If represented by us, we operate a strict policy that you do not sign with any other agency.
HOW MUCH NOTICE DO I GET FOR CASTINGS?
Castings are often given at very short notice and are usually in London. We will inform you of a casting as soon as we receive notice, but we do expect you to attend at this short notice. Children under the age of 16 also have to be accompanied by an adult chaperone to any castings and subsequent work.
I AM THE PARENT OF A YOUNG PERFORMER, WILL THEY MISS ANY SCHOOL FOR CASTINGS/JOBS?
We will always endeavour to get an after-school slot for a casting - however this is not always possible and any time missed from school for a casting will also have to encompass travelling time to the casting venue. If any work is secured that means missing school, your school will be required to give written consent and a performance licence will be required from your local authority. If a child is going to miss three or more days in any week then provision has to be made for their education. It is often the case that a parent is able to supervise work set by the school, but if the commitment is a long one, then the film/television company will supply a tutor for your child. We strongly advise speaking to your headteacher and informing them that your child may miss some lessons for castings or any subsequent work. If this is a problem, then we wouldn't advise signing with a talent agency.
WHEN WILL I HEAR A CASTING RESULT?
We will usually be contacted within a couple of days if you have been recalled or booked for a role. However, we typically won't hear anything if the casting director does not wish to see you again. We will only let you know if you have been successful in gaining the role, unless you are down to the final few for a part.
